The Kumi method is a highly participatory process for social transformation in conflicts.
The method has been specifically designed for bringing together conflicting parties to a process of
structured dialogue. The method involves an intensive examination of one’s own personal involvement
in the particular conflict, a deeper analysis of the conflict and combines this with a common,
sustainable strategic planning.
The special advantage of the Kumi method is the combination of an emotional/cognitive level with a rational/analytical level and a level of strategic action.
Kumi is a method can bring about a change of destructive confrontation to sustainable cooperation with both, groups and individuals. It is a tool for joint work where “power over” is replaced by “power with / power for.”
